What are Permalinks you might be asking?
They are permanent URLs to your individual blog posts, categories and other lists of blog postings. A permalink is basically what someone would click on to directly view a post on your blog. The URL to each post should be permanent, and never change — hence the name – permalink.

You can easily change the permalink type by following the simple steps below:
- Log in to WordPress
- In the Dashboard, go to Settings >> Permalinks
- Select your desired option and click the Save Changes button
